Lourdes Strachan BSc PCP I am Lourdes Strachan, originally from Nassau, Bahamas. I’ve lived in Nova Scotia for almost 10 years. My educational background includes, Bachelors of Science degrees in Psychology and Biology at Acadia University, and Primary Care Paramedicine at Medavie HealthEd. I also completed a 1-year study abroad program in Human Biosciences at Plymouth University in England. I am passionate about supporting and advocating for persons of the African diaspora, persons with disabilities, as well as people with barriers to healthcare.As a Primary Care Paramedic, I see first hand the gaps in healthcare. Given this, I endeavour to be the change I want to see. Fun fact: I always keep a volleyball and softball glove in the trunk of my car for random opportunities to play.
