Jennifer Bolster ACP
My name is Jennifer Bolster, I am an Advanced Care Paramedic in BC. I have been practicing as a paramedic in BC for 8 years, before that I worked as a Community Health Worker for 2 years, and served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 5 years as a reserve Medical Technician. I currently wear many hats including working full time as an ACP for BCEHS in downtown Vancouver. I also work as an instructor at both of BC's paramedic institutions, as well as contributing as a paramedic researcher for Providence Health Research Institute. I spend my free time completing my BS of Paramedicine with Charles Sturt University and look forward to continuing my education with post graduate study that focuses on prioritizing bioethical, patient-centered, and trauma-informed care. I'm an avid participant in multiple BCEHS organizations aimed at achieving clinical excellence including: Airway Management Committee, Research Committee, BC Journal Club, and more. I have also recently co-founded a BC Women in Paramedicine Special Interest Group that aims to advocate for gender equity and support for women throughout their paramedic careers.
My research interests include paramedic mental health and resilience, contemporary vs non contemporary leadership styles, women studies, and non-technical skills.
