Collin Dares ACP BScP
Collin grew up in Sable River, NS, and moved to PEI in 2009 to pursue his dream of becoming a paramedic. He practiced with Island EMS from 2010 until 2022 before moving back home with his wife, Samantha. There, he worked as an ACP in the Emergency Department at Dartmouth General Hospital. In 2024, Collin joined AMS as a Clinical Educator after working casually in Nunavut for two years with the Community Paramedic program. Always seeking opportunities to learn and grow, both personally and professionally, Collin has held roles as a Holland College Learning Manager, Policy Analyst, PAPEI board executive, and is a graduate of the BSc Paramedicine program at UPEI. Outside of his dedication to lifelong learning and paramedicine, his passions include traveling, music, food, and enjoying the great outdoors – especially when it takes him out of his comfort zone.
