Nick Montelauro Paramedic BSc

Nick began his medical career after taking an EMT course as an elective in his freshman year at college. Since then he has served as an EMT, Advanced EMT, Paramedic, Field Supervisor, Quality Assurance Officer, Training Officer, Division Manager, Executive Leader, and in diverse roles for state and national organizations related to the delivery of emergency care. He has served in ground 911 and critical care, air medical, emergency department, and community-based organizations, as well as volunteering for organizations from trauma system development and injury prevention to the promotion and development of paramedicine as a profession. Nick was previously part of the Emergency Cardiovascular Care Education team at IUH, and also works as a field preceptor for paramedics in training, as a Research Assistant in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine, as well as maintaining several part-time associations providing direct care to patients. He has earned professional credentials as a Nationally Registered Paramedic, Flight Paramedic - Certified, and as a Nationally Certified EMS Educator. He holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Paramedic Science as well as a Bachelor of Science in Management, and is currently pursuing a graduate degree. "
